Safety Rules & Training

2017 CSA standard B354.8:17 for Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPS) requires that all operators receive training if you rent or purchase this type of equipment. As a business owner or manager you have a legal requirement to ensure that your staff have received adequate training.

Our trained personnel will be pleased to provide Safety Awareness Instruction and Certification to your workers. Use our expertise to help you in identifying the task that you are undertaking and selecting the appropriate access equipment.

The training requirement under this standard consists of three levels -
  • Mobile Powered Access Fundamentals theoretical course 1 is available online and is a requisite for the practical operator evaluation course. It is also an excellent course for supervisors and business owners to take as a stand alone certification
  • Practical Evaluation is required for the specific group of machine you will be using - Group A or Group B
  • Finally - familiarization on the specific machine you are using is required whenever you are using a different model of machine
